mousesports have been crowned champions of the ESL German League Cup Summer with a 2-0 victory over ESC Gaming.
With backup player Max "ODIE" Knappe filling in for Finn "karrigan" Andersen in mousesports, due to the Danish player having an exam today, mouz were expected to have to battle hard for the victory, but it ended up being just another day for the German giants.
mouz showed a great offensive game on de_nuke, being up 11-4 at the break. ESC Gaming needed to improve on many fields to get back into the game, but the mouz kept their opponents at bay, picking up the first five rounds to win the map 16-4.
On de_dust2, things were much more stacked, and even though mouz got to start on the Terrorist side, a narrow 8-7 lead made things wide open as the teams switched sides. In the second half, neither team could assume the game, but in the end mouz got the best of ESC Gaming with a 16-13 victory.
